Shorter Circuits is a medium to explore and exchange ideas related to the intersection of energy with political economy, the environment, international development, climate change, and labor as seen through the lens of equity and justice.

I have worked in the renewable energy and energy storage space since 2015 in a variety of roles including system installer, electrician, system designer, project manager, and as an educator. The projects I’ve work on have ranged in size from small battery-based systems that served remote areas of Latin America to utility-scale systems in the United States. I currently work as an instructor and curriculum developer at Solar Energy International.

I received a B.S in Economics from the University of Utah in 2008. I also have earned certifications from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners as a PV Installation Professional and the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional. I was a 2022 Clean Energy Leadership Fellow.
